Blooming Teas are pure natural green tea leaves that are wrapped around beautiful hand tied bouquets of flowers and packed tight into a small tea ball. Designed to unfurl and reveal the flower display within a few minutes once you pour boiling water slowly over the tea ball.  ​ Every Blooming Tea is crafted individually by hand and the resulting flavour is a fresh, mellow green tea that takes on an ever slight hint of the flowers within. Some of our Blooming Teas also have extra infusions such as peppermint or mango for the lovers of flavoured teas. ​ Each tea ball makes 6-10 cups of pure bliss which can be enjoyed in one sitting or over a few days and can be made in any heat resistant jug/cup/glass - even a wine glass or beer glass!​​ ​ We use only all natural, spray free and hand harvested green tea leaves, botanicals and fruits with all our teas. Blooming Teas can be presented in any glass vessel - a tea pot, heat resistant glass cup, wine glass or jug. We have FREE delivery within NZ for standard orders over $79 or over $89 for rural delivery Orders under $79 are a flat fee of $6.99 for standard delivery or under $89 is $10.99 for rural. Unfortunately we get on charged extra fees from courier companies for rural delivery so there is a slight difference in pricing for these deliveries. We aim to get your orders to you fast. Most orders received by 12pm should be dispatched same day - and if the courier does another run in the afternoon, we may be able to get more orders out to you if received after that cut off. Generally most of our orders are to you within 1-2 days with rural taking a few extra days as it passes through more hands within the courier system to get to you. Tracking numbers are sent as soon as order is packed and awaiting courier pick up. For large orders, please reach out and we can discuss shipping options Australia - $20 delivery charge. All Australian orders can vary on timing getting to you due to the couriers processes. We ship these just as fast as NZ orders (usually same day), but can take a bit longer due to the flights/processing and Australia postal service which is out of our hands. But good things take time so is worth the wait!

As with nearly all tea in NZ, we source our teas from premium tea growers who have the right climate and conditions to produce the most beautiful and freshest tea possible. All our teas are sourced from our small boutique tea supplier nestled within the beautiful rainforest province Yunnan, Southwest China. Yunnan is a stunning area that holds 60% of China's rainforest and is largely a mountainous province, so the perfect area to grow our teas. All our teas are naturally grown - no sprays or chemicals, and sustainably harvested by hand.

Ah oh. That would be a bit of an anticlimax wouldn't it? Lets check these few steps to ensure we get the best out of our blooming tea balls. * Check the suitability of the vessel the tea ball is in. Ensure you have at least 8cm width and at least 11cm high. This gives the tea ball plenty of space to open its leaves and release the flowers up and out of their little ball. If the space is too small, it can't open up properly and the flowers will remain inside the ball. Note that any vessel can be used - a tea pot, a drinking glass, a mug, even a wine glass or a beer glass. The vessel doesn't need to look pretty but the tea ball will be! * Water Temperature. Ensure to use boiling water as this seeps down into the leaves and flowers the quickest to soften and release your tea * Time. The tea balls can vary slightly in how long they take to completely unfurl due to being different flowers and designs. The quickest ones are around 2/3 minutes and on occasion some can take about 4 minutes. Good things take time! * Air Bubbles. Give the vessel a little swirl to release any air bubbles that may be trapped.

Yes, all Blushing Tea products are beautifully packaged and designed to be gift-ready. Our teas are always boxed up, regardless if you purchase 'individual' teas or as a pack. We also offer a gift wrapping service for a small charge - just add this option at checkout and we will wrap, add a ribbon. We will also add a card if you add into the sections comment who its for and what to write on the card.

Yes! Our teas are simple to steep and include clear instructions, making them ideal gifts. We always include an instruction guide with our orders
